Hosting homestay students

One of the things I have enjoyed doing in recent years is providing homestay accomodation to students coming to Melbourne to study English. They go to GEOS Melbourne College of English in Flinders Lane. Most of the students that have stayed with us have been from Japan. We currently have Kumiko with us who arrived 3 weeks ago. She will be staying 8 weeks with us. Our household has been quite busy in the last 2 weeks as a student who stayed with us at the beginning of the year returned to spend 10 days with us. She was on her way to Tassie to look for a part time job, but her plans turned "pear shaped"when she ended up at St Vincents emergency with a suspected fractured elbow! She had bought herself a skateboard!!! Luckily it wasn't in fact broken but she was in no position to look for a job - so decided to return home to Japan. Her luggage is still with us as she wants to return after the elbow has healed - and hopefully pick up her plans again!

So - the photo I am attaching is one of Mt Fuji - a symbol of the beauty of Japan.
